- Independent Learning: All coursework is completed remotely and independently. There are no live, scheduled meetings, but you can connect with your teacher virtually for help.
- Self-Paced with Oversight: While you mostly work at your own speed, we’ll check in if you fall behind the session deadline. Your teacher will unlock your assessments as you finish units. Note that we’ll reach out if you fall behind or if there are issues with academic integrity.
- One at a Time: You can finish multiple classes each session, but you must start and focus on ONE at a time. Summer School Orientation will provide you with instructions for enrolling in another course.
- Evaluation: Grades are determined by a mix of computer-scored quizzes, tests, and teacher-graded assignments.
- Improvement: If you miss key concepts, you are welcome to resubmit assignments to boost your grade up to 90%.
- Credit Structure: Courses are 5 credits each. To earn 10 credits in a subject, you’ll need to complete both Semester 1 (A) and Semester 2 (B).
- Enrollment: Contact your school counselor to pick the right classes.
- Check Your Inbox: Instructions will be sent to your PSD Email.
- Hard Deadline: All classes close at 3:00 PM with no extensions. Aim to finish everything two days early to avoid last-minute issues.

** Graduating 8th-grade students may only take math classes to replace a class they have already attempted
***A new 5-credit Financial Literacy class has been introduced to satisfy the graduation requirement for students graduating in 2029. Students will NOT take this class before their 11th-grade year. --- All other students should enroll in the separate Personal Finance and Economics courses to earn graduation credits.
